Today I renewed my Bank Contract with The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. This means I will continue my bank work as a Crisis Worker within The Bridge SARC.

So what is The Bridge?

The Bridge is a Sexual Assault Referral Centre, commonly referred to as a ‘SARC‘.

They offer medical care, emotional and psychological support and practical help to anyone* who has been raped or sexually assaulted.  They also offer information and support to friends and family of those affected by rape or serious sexual assault.

*The Bridge are a Centre of Excellence, providing services for; 

• Adults or children, living in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath & North East Somerset or Somerset.
• Children, living in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire or Swindon.

I am proud to be a part of such a specialist team and am passionate about the work we all do. I have worked with them for five and a half years in a couple of different roles and am so pleased that I am continuing to continue working for such a fantastic department within the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.
